Second Cousins Once Removed van Eliza Hittman
On a road trip, distant cousins Naomi and Jo-Jo are left alone for the night in a motel room. With nothing in common, the two girls hang out staring at a broken TV. Jo-Jo leaves the room against her grandfather’s permission in search of soda, playing cards, and mischief. “Second Cousins Once Removed” captures the tumultuous identity of an adolescent girl, with one foot in childhood and one foot in the adult world.
