Reverend Peyton's Big Damn Band
Vandaag is Frank Jochemsen aan het struinen door een kringloopwinkel naar keuze. Jaap Boots is dienstdoend gastheer. En wat voor gastheer! Naast geweldige platen in het kaliber ‘oud of nieuw maar steevast goed’ komen ook vandaag weer live-opnames van Fra Fra Sound, Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band en het Bobby Watson Quartet voorbij. Altsaxofonist Bobby Watson is bekend van Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers en 29th Street Saxophone Quartet. En helemaal raak is ook de concertopname van singer-songwriter Gabriel Rios. Op het Grachtenfestival speelde hij met celliste Amber Docters van Leeuwen en bassist Ruben Samama. Een melancholisch en swingend trio, zónder drums nota bene.
